Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask from Finger Lakes Distilling in New York’s Finger Lakes region. Founded in 2007 and best known for its flagship McKenzie whiskey brand, the traditional distillery makes a wide range of spirits from the agricultural bounty of Upstate New York.

This unique release is a rye whiskey that was aged for 6 years in a new oak barrel and then finished for 3 months in a barrel that previously held Pommeau (a blend of apple brandy and fresh apple juice) from Finger Lakes Cider House. The nose bursts with notes of juicy apple, cinnamon, spice, and plum. The rich palate is warm and balanced, with hints of spiced apple cider, warm rye spice, and gentle oak.

This is Lost Lantern’s first release from Finger Lakes Distilling and our first from Upstate New York.
