Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask from Frey Ranch Distillery in northern Nevada, where Colby and Ashley Frey have transformed their fifth-generation family farm into one of the country’s few true estate distilleries. Their whiskies, grown, distilled, and aged in an oasis of the high desert, capture the essence of their land and climate.
Made from 100% Frey Ranch-grown soft white winter wheat, this has a warm, spicy, fruity nose, with notes of cherry blossoms and spring flowers. The soft, creamy palate has hints of strawberries and cream, rounded oak, and gentle spice. Like all the best straight wheat whiskies, this is subtle and complex yet with real heft. This is our first wheat whiskey from Frey Ranch, and one of the only times it has been available outside of Nevada.
