George Dickel Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey 7 Years Old

The George Dickel Rye You’ve Never Had
Lost Lantern hand-selected four of these casks from Cascade Hollow Distilling Co., better known as George Dickel, one of the most storied distilleries in the country. Founded in 1878 and rebuilt in the 1950s, the distillery has long been a defining voice in Tennessee whiskey and has soared to new heights under the leadership of trailblazing distiller Nicole Austin. George Dickel is Lost Lantern’s first heritage distillery partner.
These are rare single casks of George Dickel’s Tennessee-distilled rye whiskey, made from 84% rye, 8% corn, and 8% malt and aged for 7 years in a new oak barrel. The result is a bold and deep southern rye with balanced oak, mint, and rye spice.
George Dickel has never before released its Tennessee rye whiskey on its own (the standard George Dickel rye comes from Indiana, and its Tennessee rye has only been released as part of a blend with Leopold Bros.) We’re honored to be the first to showcase it in single cask form. This is a different beast than other ryes: a true hot-climate southern rye, with full oak and rich mint and chocolate flavors.
Coming October 21st!
- Type: Single Cask
- Pour: Neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail
- Glass: Glencairn or rocks glass
