Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask from Watershed Distillery in Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 2010, the distillery’s meticulous production methods, commitment to local ingredients, and innovations with grain have resulted in an impressive range of spirits.

This release was aged for 3 years and 8 months in a new oak cask and then finished for 4 years and 7 months in a cask that previously held Watershed’s own nocino Ohio black walnut liqueur. It has notes of marzipan, butterscotch, and sweet oak on the nose, with dried mint, warm oak, and hints of toffee and candied walnut on the palate. A rich and delectable spirit with a hint of herbaceousness.

NOTE: This release tested negative for tree nut allergens (they generally do not survive the distillation process). However, we cannot guarantee it is completely allergen-free and would advise against it if you have a walnut allergy.
