The United States of Bourbon is the first-ever blend of straight bourbon from all fifty states, and the widest-ranging American whiskey ever made.
Each state is represented by a single distillery, all of which are named on the back label. Every cask of bourbon in this blend was hand-selected from a distillery visited and vetted by Lost Lantern over the course of five years.
This whiskey could not have existed before now: some casks in the blend hit the requisite two year aging mark for straight whiskey very recently, sourced from the rising tide of new distilleries that opened in the last two decades all across the country.

The Whiskies
In these bottles there are bourbons from coastal distilleries, aged in salty sea air. There are bourbons from the Great Plains, where swings in barometric pressure mimic the effects of heat.
There are bourbons from distilleries originally founded before Prohibition, bourbons from states with deep roots in moonshining, and bourbons from brand-new distilleries younger than the idea for this project itself.
Some of these bourbons were distilled by multi-generational family farms that grow their own grain for making spirits; others are from distilleries operating well off the beaten path, who source grain from surrounding towns and even across state lines to support local farming communities.
Together, this blend offers a birds-eye-view of bourbon from across the country. It is a snapshot of the complexity and current landscape of American bourbon.
United States of Bourbon 100 Proof
This release is the 100 proof version of the United States of Bourbon. It contains the same distilleries and the same blend as the cask strength expression, carefully slow-proofed to 100 proof.
Warm vanilla and balanced wood spice on the nose, with hints of nutmeg and clove. Warm, welcoming, and complex. On the palate, notes of dark chocolate, raspberry, and orange zest. Balanced and deep, with a long finish.
United States of Bourbon Cask Strength
This release is the cask strength version of the United States of Bourbon. It contains the same distilleries and the same blend as the 100 Proof version, presented at natural cask strength.
Rich wood spice and vanilla on the nose, with hints of nutmeg and clove. Rich depth with a lot of complexity. On the palate, oak, spice, and fruit intermingle into a deep and balanced whole, with notes of black raspberry, dark chocolate, and leather. A bright and powerful whiskey.
United States of Bourbon 1776 Edition
This release, created especially for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, is a limited-edition counterpart to our flagship United States of Bourbon. This special 1776 edition is a blend of straight bourbon whiskies from the first 13 states.
Warm, complex, and spicy on the nose, with orange zest, dark chocolate, and walnut notes. The palate bursts with fruit and spice, with hints of fresh-baked bread and notes of leather leading into a very long, spicy finish. Deep and complex.
