George Dickel Tennessee Straight Wheat Whiskey

Wheat is the New Bourbon
Lost Lantern hand-selected two of these casks from Cascade Hollow Distilling Co., better known as George Dickel, one of the most storied distilleries in the country. Founded in 1878 and rebuilt in the 1950s, the distillery has long been a defining voice in Tennessee whiskey and has soared to new heights under the leadership of trailblazing distiller Nicole Austin. George Dickel is Lost Lantern’s first heritage distillery partner.
These are rare cask strength single casks of George Dickel’s Tennessee wheat whiskey, which has never before been released. They were made from 100% wheat and aged for 7 years in a new oak barrel, and exhibit what makes wheat whiskey truly special: deep, rich baking spice, tropical fruits, warm oak, and a remarkable softness on the palate.
We firmly believe that wheat whiskey is the new wheated bourbon. Especially when it comes from a hot climate like Tennessee, wheat whiskey has all the depth and rich flavor of a well-aged bourbon, but with a refreshing softness on the palate and light floral and fruity notes.
George Dickel has never released their wheat whiskey before. These single casks have the same 100% wheat mashbill as Lost Lantern Golden Grove, and are substantially older with even more baking spice on the palate.
